US VP Pence:

  • Trump asked him to deliver a message of continued partnership with EU
  • US and EU share common values
  • US will remain committed to goals
  • we must be strong and united in confronting threats to Europe's security
  • US call on EU to help intensify efforts against Islamist militants in Europe
  • US is committed to defending territorial integrity on European states
  • US continue to hold Russia accountable in Ukraine, urges both sides to observe ceasefire
  • US will search for new common ground with Russia
  • US committed to freedom, democracy and the rule of law
