G'day. I'm (Ryan) now Eamonn as the system couldn't handle two Mike Paterson's at once, and who could blame it? ;-)

North Rhine Westphalia has joined the other regions in seeing a bounce in Feb inflation and the year on year numbers are showing quite a turnaround. We've Baden Wuerttemberg left to print before the main German number ar 13.00 gmt.

Here's the list of y/y numbers so far;

  • Saxony +0.3% vs -0.3% prior
  • Hesse +0.1% vs -0.6% prior
  • NRW +0.0% vs -0.4% prior

Baden W was -0.4% in Jan and the main German HICP number is expected in unchanged at -0.5%, with CPI at -0.3% vs -0.4% prior.

Based on the numbers from the regions so far we should probably prepare for a higher read from the main numbers.
