The USDJPY extended the range in NY session.

The trading action in the US session has come to a standstill for the dollar.

At the start of the NY session, the follow trading ranges for the major pairs and crosses showed most of the pairs were below the 22 day averages.

Seven or so hours later this is the picture.

For the major pairs, the USDJPY extended the range to the downside - taking out yesterday's lows in the process, but since then the price has moved back higher. The pair seemed to be the most sensitive to the headlines out of Washington.

The GBPUSD extended the high for the day by a few pips, but that extension was faded by sellers.

The other USD pairs were little changed.

The JPY crosses followed the USDJPY a bit at the low extreme, but have rebounded with the dollar.

Overall, the market is barely open. Waiting...Waiting.
