The S&P is trying to break back above the 900 level after a visit to the 870s last week. This is helping give EUR/USD a bid tone into the close of trading, trading now at 1.4000. Risk is back in vogue, at least for a summer Monday. EUR/JPY is at session highs of 130.15, commodity currencies are firm with AUD at 0.7825
Goldman earnings are the key tomorrow morning; look for the risk swich to be thrown to “off” if they fail to live up to lofty expectations.
