BOE’s Barker says expects QE impact to come through more strongly next year

BOE’s Kate Barker, in an interview with the Hull Daily Mail, says it’s too early to expect the Bank of England’s asset purchase programme to have any major effect on bank lending, but that the scheme should impact more strongly next year.
Barker sees a “tentative” risk that QE could drive up inflation, but feels it’s a long way off.
