The latest Rightmove data on house prices in England and Wales show that prices are down 3.1% over the last 12 months and that the rate of fall is slowing markedly and a bottom might now be in place. Sterling is unchanged at 1.6350 against the USD and it usually does not react to data such as this during the Asian trading session but it might do so when London opens later today.
