EUR/USD at 1.5000 is effectively where it closed out Monday in North America, with overnight Asian trading having been confined to a fairly narrow range. The main action has taken place in USD/JPY and the yen crosses, with all eyes on the special/emergency BOJ meeting .

Euro zone data due today:

07:00 GMT: German retail sales for October expected +0.4% m/m, -1.9% y/y

08:45 GMT: Italian PMI manufacturing for November expected 50.0 from previous 49.2

08:50 GMT: French PMI manufacturing for November (final) expected 54.2

08:55 GMT: German PMI manufacturing for November (final) expected 52.0

08;55 GMT: German unemployment change for November expected +5k

09:00 GMT: Euro zone PMI manufacturing for November (final) expected 51.0

10:00 GMT: Euro zone unempoyment rate for October expected 9.8%

Talk of buy orders at 1.4970/75 and again at 1.4950, sell orders up at 1.5040/50.
