There was a report on Reuters that Trichet was set to leave the RBA seminar early in order to partake in an ECB council meeting. I don’t know at this point whether this meeting was already planned or whether it is more of an ‘emergency’ measure. We’ll keep an eye on this story.

I was still paying attention to JC’s press conference last week when he cheerfully said “en passant” with a big grin that the total of the Ezone’s deficit was 6% compared to the likes of the US’s 10%. And he went on to thank madame for the very good questions indeed.
A precursor to something to be expounded, I wondered.
    Well here’s hoping huh.

Ok there was talk of meeting past weekend what was denied. No talks planned for this week. Market starts to over react again. On the other hand, where there is smoke there is fire.
