JAPAN PRESS: Investment trusts focused on securities of Brazil, Russia,
India and China are growing popular, as individual investors seek higher
returns to recover losses incurred during the global financial crisis,
The Nikkei reported at the weekend. Fund research company Lipper was
cited in the report saying net fund inflow into open-ended investment
trusts totaled about Y4.14 trillion in the 11 months through February.
Of that, Y1.92 trillion was funneled into products that incorporate
stocks or bonds issued in the so-called BRIC countries, the report said.
