The RBA believes that Australia’s banks are in a better position to weather the financial storm than those in other countries. I keep saying that we must have done something right in Australia re banking regulation because as yet we dont seem to have had to dole out welfare (bailout) cheques to any banks and nor have we had to step in and take any over.
