Japan May Core CPI -1.1% yr/yr

Japan recorded its biggest annual fall on record with the May CPI coming in at -1.1% yr/yr. It comes in pretty much on expectations. Median forecast was -1.2%.

Tokyo core CPI for June came in at -1.5%. forecast was for a reading of -1.1%. Ruters news corrected it after printing -1.3%.

USDJPY falls 10 pips to 95.85.
