Germany’s Steinbrueck: Mid-term inflation risks

German finance minister Steinbrueck sees medium-term inflation risks but he does see and economic rebound in Germany still facing big challenges. There are signs that Germany is exiting the slump, he says.

At the G8, Russian President Medvedev says administrative regulation of oil prices is impossible. He’s probably right, but that won’t stop the US administration from trying.Oil should be between $70-80, Medvedev says.

Oil is down at $60.70 while USD/JPY has fallen back below 93.00.
