UK June global goods trade gap has come in at £6.451 bln, worse than the median forecast of £6.2 bln. The result comes as the oil balance swung into deficit following summer maintainance work which lowered indigenous production. . The oil balance recorded a deficit of 315 mln pounds in June compared to a surplus of 100 mln pounds in May.

Non EU goods trade gap came in as £3.648 bln, slightly worse than median forecast of £3.5 bln.

Cable is about 5 points lower post release, presently at 1.6475. Quiet directionless trade continues.
