The National Institute of Economic and Social Research says that the US recession ended in May but that there will not be a robust recovery. Stagnation is seen in the months ahead with output rising some months an falling others, they say.
The UK economy grew by 0.2% in the three months to August after a 0.3% fall in the three months to July, the think tank said.
