    EUR/USD Options Maturity Calendar says:

    22nd Thursday 1.4680 (200M) + 1.4750 (500M);
    23rd Friday 1.5100 (200M) ;
    26th Monday 1.3500 (400 M);
    ***27th Tuesday 1.400 (1 BILLION) + 1.500 (500 M)
    28 th Wednesday 1.4680 (1 BILLION) + 1.4500 (250 M)

    p.s. Options dont force them to buy& also numbers could be a little misleading but for now the calendar is this so may we keep an eye over them ? ;)

    About options maturity calendar; I am b*ll sh*tting about it but if we consider the options could have a magnetic effect than the first of them is written 22nd of October – any critics welcome…

    Well, i’m trying to defy gravity and have gone short @ 149.16. Pray for me.

  11. Michael Miller on October 16th, 2009 14:05 GMT

    So far, so good. I’d like to see it get down below trend support at around 1.48 here soon. There could be a nice run to the downside coming.

  12. Michael Miller on October 16th, 2009 19:21 GMT

    I took my couple dozen pips and will wait it out. I have a buy/sell plan, so whatever. Still long chf/yen, so no gripes. You guys have a good weekend! It appears mine will be saturated by rain! :thumbdown:

    Sean. Are you still short eur/usd? I just got back in at 1.4907. This spot makes me feel much better.

  14. Sean Lee on October 18th, 2009 23:31 GMT

    Yes Mike, still short EUR/USD and long GBP/JPY. I’m cutting out above 15010 hoping for 14650 but I have been in and out a few times just to improve the average

  15. Michael Miller on October 19th, 2009 16:56 GMT

    The technicals Sean and I were discussing late last week for this pair seem to be good as of now, or coming very close. I’m not speaking for him, by the way. A “broadening top” is in place (reversal pattern) and now the charts inside of the daily look a little better for a lengthy short position. I’ve got an entry order at 1.4946 (will adjust accordingly if prices rise) with a 50 pip wide, stop loss. Hopefully, can get on a roll for a few days, rather than picking up a few pips here and there. If it can roll over this evening, i’m looking for a break of the support line in the 1.4820 area first off, with a short term target in the 1.46 area.

    Well, Michael, to be honest (as a member of Humble Heart Confessions Club- HHCC) 1.48861 also does well for me…Thanks for good mentioning…we will see or update my sell order..

  17. Michael Miller on October 19th, 2009 22:05 GMT

    Well! Apple “destroying” consensus, sure did dampen my mood on this trade.

  18. Sean Lee on October 19th, 2009 22:19 GMT

    What’ve u got on Mike? Short EUR/USD, anything else?

  19. Michael Miller on October 19th, 2009 22:23 GMT

    Still long chf/yen.

  20. Michael Miller on October 19th, 2009 22:34 GMT

    Are you still long pound/yen?

  21. Sean Lee on October 19th, 2009 22:42 GMT

    Yeah but I’ve now put a stop on it at 14685 but as i bought them at 14205 its still a very nice trade. I’m hoping that cable gets above 16450 and usdjpy above 9150 and then i’ll consider buying some more. EUR/USD isn’t looking particularly bid or offered at the moment but I’ll probably cover on a dip back towards 14850 and try again. I think we may be in for an extended period of range trading here so its a matter of picking the right entry levels. Now that 14965 has been broken I’m not overly sure where the range top will be.
