Cable is opening a touch firmer, presently up at 1.6630 having closed out Thursday in North America down around 1.6615. Overnight in Asia it reached a session high 1.6677 before settling back. As expected Asian sovereign, Middle East selling noted.
Event risk looms in the form of Q-3 GDP, due for release at 08:30 GMT and expected +0.2% q/q, -4.6% y/y.
