Zhou Hai, the Chinese central bank researcher quoted in the well-noted Financial News article, has told Reuters that the comments were “purely my personal view.”

Yer right, and the moon is made of Swiss cheese!!

EUR/USD sits at 1.5035, USD/JPY at 91.75.

So, let’s make a constitution — first we look at the topic (like you I was zoomed to “CHF”)..Well for “EUR/USD” ..I ve a “Standart Deviation Channel” and a Andrew’s Pitchfork intersecting and making a kind of diamond (top of it 1.5051 and bottom of it 1.50095 at 1 hour chart (not doing anything except small buy/sell) tracking it…

That wedge formation is playing out well, capping and supporting moves as price moves towards the apex. It’s upper t’line I have at 1.5076 and the lower t’line at 1.5006 for today.

Well, they recommend 1.53 but have stop loss of 1.4940 (so they keep an eye over there); for now, I am out it — will watch if the price shakes well above wedge or apex ^ ;)

Hi Gerry it seems 1.5040/5 being capped for a while. Do u have confirmation who is protecting that level right now? I can see it just bounce back when we touch that level.

Sorry essenza, nothing. to be honest i’ve only heard of sell interest up at 1.5070 up through 1.5100, which seems to have been there forever. Obviously we’ve heard of BIS selling up around these sorts of levels of late, but have’t heard anything today. Which doesn’t mean they’re not around, just means i havent heard of such.

Blackday, did you see any of the Chelsea game?. They’re scary. Premiership is a one-horse race, and unfortunately don’t think it’s any of our teams gonna win it.

Ug! I did watch ‘em on MoTD and it was a sublime performance alright. I also thought the Gunners played well and ought to have buried the Hammers. The old Red Devils were slow and lazy at times, unimaginative, loose and incohesive as well. It was a poor, poor display saved only by moments of wonderful one-touch passing. Liverpool on the other hand set out not break any records, so all we had to do was press early on but instead, we let them take the game to us.

I only got chance to see Chelsea. And to think they’ve got 60 mln quid to spend once they get the greenlight…..
