Who could have made such a terrible mistake?

If one is concerned about confidence in USD and the state of US debt levels, this opinion piece in NYT is required reading. When I read comments like this one from the op-ed piece I fear for what sort of ram-rodding of policies could occur if the Pelosi-Reed-WH economic advisory team troika will foist off on taxpayers.

Remember Reid has already complained about this pesky problem.

Strong dollar my foot!

“However, Yglesias feel that pesky matters like Congressional rules are getting in the way of that problem-solving: “But giving defeated electoral minorities veto power over large elements of national policy tends to undermine this dynamic. What’s wanted is an opportunity for the Obama administration to take its best shot at fixing the economy ….”

I don’t know the value of some of these “opinion” pieces though the comments afterwords seemed to make sense. How do we keep the dollar “strong” when it’s the currency of a country that believes it can survive by manufacturing “derivatives” and giving each other haircuts! It is an opinion though. thanks for the post!

    This one’s for you, Dennis:

The Lexington, Kentucky Police Department reported finding a man’s body in the Kentucky River just west of the Clays Ferry Bridge. The dead man’s name will not be released until his family has been notified.

The victim apparently drowned due to excessive beer consumption. He was wearing black fishnet stockings, a red garter belt, a pink g-string, purple lipstick, and an Obama T-shirt. The police removed the Obama T-shirt to spare his family any unnecessary embarrassment.
