Do you folks find our regional wrap-ups helpful or do you prefer to go back and read the older posts to catch up on the markets while you are away?

Personally I find the wrap-ups very useful.

  2. zekelogan on January 13th, 2010 19:38 GMT

I use wrapups for referencing the headlines & news all in one spot. I use the original posts to follow the conversations. Both are great!

  3. Rick Stelloh on January 13th, 2010 19:42 GMT

I enjoy and use them but could use the originals if you’re trying to cut down the moderators work load. Thanks for the great site and your good work!

  4. Brian on January 13th, 2010 19:43 GMT

I find the wrap ups very useful. Please continue.

  5. Jeff on January 13th, 2010 19:47 GMT

I find them useful. They are a Great Summary.

  6. johnmmcconnell on January 13th, 2010 19:50 GMT

    Very useful!

  7. Alexander on January 13th, 2010 19:50 GMT

They’re great all though I usually don’t REALLY read them. Instead it would be great if they contained links to the most important posts of the day as writing about each one takes up a lot of space.

  8. Jens on January 13th, 2010 19:54 GMT

I like them too because I think they are very useful !

  9. Jonny on January 13th, 2010 19:55 GMT

Wrap ups are helpful. Lots of times, older posts just disappear on the newsfeed so I can’t go back to read them anyway.

  10. Greg on January 13th, 2010 19:55 GMT

I would prefer to continue to have the wrap-ups. I find them very useful

  11. Sunil on January 13th, 2010 19:59 GMT

Find the wrap up quite useful. Thanks. Keep it up.

  12. sarchin on January 13th, 2010 19:59 GMT

I really like them, and they are an excellent summary for each session. I have been following you guys since the ‘fxhub’ days and forexlive has only gotten better. it’s like a one stop site for forex, I don’t think there is any other place where someone can learn the nuts and bolts of trading, and get quite a few chuckles throughout the day. The plus of it is, when there is a big price movement you guys seem to know why and know way before anyone else does.
    Keep up the great work

  13. JR on January 13th, 2010 20:00 GMT

I think the wrap-ups are excellent and appreciate your perspectives a lot.

  14. Blackday on January 13th, 2010 20:01 GMT

They’re a load of old cobblers.

  15. Bob on January 13th, 2010 20:02 GMT

    Love the regional wrap-ups
    thanks

  16. Jamie Coleman on January 13th, 2010 20:05 GMT

Thanks, Blackie. That’s what I was looking for…

  17. Blackday on January 13th, 2010 20:06 GMT

Did Gerry put you up to this? ;)

  18. silviu on January 13th, 2010 20:07 GMT

For me wrap-ups are very useful and it would be great if you will continue to post them…and thank you guys for what are you doing here…

  19. stev on January 13th, 2010 20:08 GMT

I think the wrap-up is a good check point, and help someone get a perspective of the market in a short amount of time. I am with Alaxander, a list of headlines and links to the old posts may suffice if it takes up too much work otherwise.

In any case, thank you for the great work.

  20. lilac on January 13th, 2010 20:11 GMT

    Nah, the Feds are visiting.
Can we have more donkeys please?

  21. Rem on January 13th, 2010 20:13 GMT

Very very useful. Please keep going on.

  22. lilac on January 13th, 2010 20:14 GMT

On second thoughts, wrap up the resident donkey ;)

  23. Jamie Coleman on January 13th, 2010 20:23 GMT

    Yes, he’s threatening industrial action…

  24. bob on January 13th, 2010 20:24 GMT

    who doesn’t like donkeys???

  25. JR on January 13th, 2010 20:25 GMT

As a general template, I think the essence of good market research is: what happened, what it means, and what one should do about it. So, ideally, in addition to reporting on fundamental and technical/flow/support developments, I’d welcome more analysis and opinions of the fundamental and technical trends. It’d be good to get a sense for what you guys see as support and resistance for, say, the four major pairs (EUR/USD, GBP/USD, AUD/USD, USD/JPY) at, say, 0900gmt, 1600gmt, and 2100gmt.

  26. Simon on January 13th, 2010 20:26 GMT

    I like them

  27. TW on January 13th, 2010 20:27 GMT

I rarely read them. a bit too long for me

  28. zekelogan on January 13th, 2010 20:31 GMT

    When’s Sean returning?

  29. gerry davies on January 13th, 2010 20:34 GMT

TW, i wholeheartedly agree. Way too long. So we’re all agreed then, we’ll be scrapping them as of today.

  30. gerry davies on January 13th, 2010 20:36 GMT

Sean’s not returning. He got fed up with Jamie telling fibs….

  31. Jamie Coleman on January 13th, 2010 20:39 GMT

Nurse! Get Gerry his meds, please…Look at that skin-tone, positively otherworldly…
Sean will be back on Monday, European weather permitting…

  32. Femi K on January 13th, 2010 20:39 GMT

Please do not scrap them. In fact I usually look forward to them, particularly when there is little time to scan through all the updates.

  33. Adje on January 13th, 2010 20:39 GMT

I read it every time I wake up. usefull.
    Gerry, is that serious?

  34. gerry davies on January 13th, 2010 20:45 GMT

No, just joshing Adje. They’ll be continuing.

  35. zekelogan on January 13th, 2010 20:46 GMT

    Hahaha. Thanks guys.

  36. Emilio on January 13th, 2010 21:09 GMT

I like them too. If I could add suggestions I would say that a new “technicals” section could be added, or at the least, for commentators to make more references to technical analysis including charts. Also a section with short, medium and long term forecasts for the majors would be appealing.

  37. Emilio on January 13th, 2010 21:12 GMT

…and another suggestion would be for the autorefresh to be implemented in ajax so that new posts, coments appear automatically and update the page title too without refreshing the entire page. Its very useful as it avoids refreshing the page and the title change alerts the user of the changes.

  38. Jamie Coleman on January 13th, 2010 21:20 GMT

    ForexLive 2.0 will have AJAX…

  39. Guy on January 13th, 2010 21:33 GMT

I find them useful as a newbie – also find useful any hints of where bids / offers might be and supports / resistances from time to time, I understand the more experienced may not need this so much of course!

  40. lilac on January 13th, 2010 21:56 GMT

Actually Jamie – how about adding ‘Order Central’ to the topics in the blue strip at the topic please?

  41. lilac on January 13th, 2010 21:57 GMT

    Oops – 2 topics ;)
    I meant at the top.

  42. mike on January 13th, 2010 22:02 GMT

very good comments! keep them pertinent especially with the usefull insight who is doing what. great job. how about adding more trading ideas?

  43. Tajul Akbar Bin Ismail on January 13th, 2010 22:57 GMT

I agree with Alexander and stev, links would suffice … save space :-)

  44. tonysan on January 14th, 2010 00:43 GMT
