Asia doing it’s usual thing; consolidating overnight moves

Cable is 30 pips lower than it’s NY close after a big move higher overnight. AUD/USD tried to gain a foothold above .9200 but stop-loss selling in the AUD/NZD is weighing on the Aussie and it is back below its NY closing level also. EUR/USD has had a 12 pip range so far today. In 4 hours trade that is quite pathetic.

    what’s the longest wait anyone has seen for the Japenese announcement of the interest rate change?

    this is costing me pips getting stopped out

    Hello Sean and guys, maybe with the london coming, we return to 3680 on eur and 5150 on GU and from there maybe the big up move!!!

    Re: Gold, I would antipate big shorts to come back in around 1130. Still holding my stale longs from 1130 and 1138 from 2 weeks ago. Will continue to hold as the trend indicates a series of higher lows on 1D time frame. Am expecting a battle around this 1125 to 1130 range, but favouring a break to upside…perhaps to 1150. Any thoughts?

    I think Sean mentioned xau may bump up against 1150. YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO MAKE SOME $.

    I think it goes a lot higher Chngster, once 1150 breaks, but it could take months. I suspect that we’ll be up and down in this range for a while yet so trim on rallies and load up on dips is my best suggestion.

    Seeing -300 and -250 on the scorecard wasn’t pretty for sure but the trade was taken on a 1D timeframe with proper MM, so I wasn’t overly concerned until the bulls capitulated at 1100. I am not sure what market mechanics are at play but I feel XAU/USD should really be much, much higher than present levels. I was surprised how much the China comments last week affected gold, considering they are only the 5th largest holder in the world…

    Well Sean, I’m just so darn bored w/ USDCAD I added. I figure I can sacrifice the extra 13 pips on the net. What else can you do when the paint already dried?
