The pricing comes in the middle of the 3.18/3.38 range. The huge order book (twenty times oversubscribed)  for the IPO is one of the factors helping spark today’s global equity rally.

This news report is incorrect. This deal [for the so-called "Ag. Bank" - known around here as the "中国农业银行股份有限公司" - IPO) was over-subscribed - many weeks ago - at very different levels in HK (for so-called "H" shares) and in Shanghai (for so-called "A" shares)]. For instance, if you read any Chinese newspaper today, you can see that the HK “H shares” were only 14 times over-subscribed, while Shanghai was even less. For some true information – in very plain English about what this really means – please note: http://www.businessweek.com/news/2010-07-05/china-a-shares-to-beat-h-shares-in-quarter-ubs-says.html
