You can say that again…The last two-plus years have been as volatile as any in modern history and the dollar has done its job. It was the major safe-haven during the global crisis and is easing as the crisis winds down. If Europe settles down, it can ease further, in my view.
Lacker says he believes the dollar will retain its reserve role but that some erosion would not have major effects.
