For the first time in memory, a Fed Chair will appear on Meet the Press, a Sunday morning public affairs show. Bernanke is clearly trying to change the Fed’s communications strategy.
My mistake, while multitasking around the 8:30 data release and the opening statement of the ECB press conference, I misconstrued something I saw out of the corner of my eye on the TV screen.
Bernanke will meet the press at the National Press Club today at 17:30 GMT, not appear on Sunday TV…My apologies for the confusion…
