Swiss economy minister: Franc not my job, mon

  • SNB is in charge of dealing with the franc, not the government
  • SNB is independent
  • Confident companies can cope with franc
  • Strong franc will persist, not a temporary phenomenon

The franc is easier across the board today as Greek jitters ease, a huge benefit to Switzerland…

And wouldn’t that cause problems (as they are now) for a lot of Swiss companies? And wouldn’t that have an impact on the Swiss government?
How is this not a ‘Swiss ministry’ problem?

Jamie, why do you think Switzerland wants strong frank so much. I mean, if even economy minister says: “Strong franc will persist, not a temporary phenomenon”…is there sth behind all this????
