Word of the day: Grexit
Greek Eurozone Exit has now been shortened to ‘Grexit’. Aren’t you glad you tuned in today! Anyone got any bright ideas for new words?

Grefault – a default that results in no credit event in the CDS market
Sorry to burst a happy bubble, but that was already a word. If you aren’t familiar with urbandictionry (great site) you should check it out.

My word: Eurlapse – short for Euro collapse
Mike, I wasn’t trying to infer that I had thought of the word, simply that I hadn’t heard it before
hey Sean how about “Grefault ” i’m still trying to think of one for Ireland, for when we follow, it’s getting rough over here.
Merkocenary: A high-ranking politician whose actions are so mind-bogglingly detrimental to his reelection prospects that one can only assume he has been bought off, a conclusion that perhaps makes sense when one considers his food and vehicle budget.

That’s an easy one Richie, Notourfault
Spot on Sean, fair play
Matt, ‘Grefault’ – great new addition to the dictionary!
Also how about ” Greece is entering the Greezone ” outside the Eurozone
Didn’t mean to sound like an A-hole, I through in UrbanDictionary any chance I get. I didn’t mean to assume you thought of the word. Ironically enough the UD definition does fit right in though.!!
Ha Ha .. Good one Sean .. Heres one for a Greek Default and a Eurozone exit put together…. De’ Grexit
Sean have you heard any rumours of Central Banks re-printing their own currencies, rumours over here of the Sandyford Mint currently running the Punt
Yes Richie, I heard the same story when I was over in NY in November, and I think it would be the wise thing to do, to plan for all contingencies. All reports seem to be very disheartening but maybe a surprise win at Euro2012 would turn sentiment around
Thanks Sean, enjoying the Banther, hope we don’t have a Thierry Henry moment
Grecian 2012 (large haircut)
Richie, I was in Stuttgart in ’88 for Houghton’s great winner and I was in Gelsenkirchen as well for Wim whateverhisnamewas offside goal! Good times, bad times
a bit like this game, you have to take the good times with the bad
Hi Sean do u not think that those countries who are the burden on the union if they get out from the zone is better for the union in-fact the very nature of a race is responsible for its existence in this competitive world. If euro-zone shrinks without 3 or 5 components it will make a positive difference for the other constituents. What is your opinion?
another one bites the dust : http://news.yahoo.com/romanias-government-collapses-protests-151141275.html
Hi Anup, most definitely the EZ would look very attractive minus PIIGS but how to do this is what causes so much difficulty. French and German banks would probably go broke if all of PIIGS defaulted
Good morning Sean,
.
COREU and GERXIT.
You know what it is…
Now we know who to blame if we start seeing “Grexit” all over the place right next to “Merkozy”
How about ‘Grexpired’! Fits perfectly to this EU sharade which is about to came to an end…
