  1. Morning Gerry, thank you so much for your humor and expert comments, informed and entertained, bloody great lol and now Joe is coming up fast on the rails double bloody great, atvb, Chris2

  2. WooooHooooo!!

  3. When you guys say things like ‘SNB seen on bid’ or other market order type info, how do you know this? Is it word of mouth from brokers / dealers / contacts you have about who is bidding / offering? Or can you see these things for real, in level 2 / order book data etc? Can you see size as well? The much bandied about figure of EUR 25bn in stops below 1.2000 – again, how do you know?

  4. We have market contacts we’ve known for ages, who we trust, advising us, so it’s effectively word of mouth. Very occasionally we get advised on size but not often and I would be wary of passes size info on anyways (I’ve found it unreliable in the past)

  5. passing not passes

  6. Market talk that earlier speculation of the SNB being on the bid in USD/CHF is groundless according to well placed contacts.

  7. Hi Chris2, he should be coming up on the rails quick :) he’s been involved in the markets longer than me (I had an 8 year break) and traded generally for better-named banks (BIG mothers)

  8. I think you’ll find it’s not groundless. They’re using BIS and major swiss banks as conduits apparently. but thanks for info. i personally found it surprising i have to say.

  9. well the usd/chf part, thought they’d just do eur/chf

  10. Probably Jordon’s wife ;)

  11. Hi,Garry say what the credit leverage hedge funds use? 2:1 or more.

  12. im not too sure I’d have the balls to buy USD/CHF just becos SNB buying though…

  13. dollar looks a little fragile

  14. I think there was a lot of stops below 0.9m especially JPM(or Morgan ), their stops was 0.8995. But the spike was only 3 pip from 0.8995.

So i think some bid buy orders here. Earlier this level brokening was 20-30-50 pips

    Time will tell

  15. apart from USD/JPY ofcourse

  16. Yes Gerry I can see how good and experienced Joe is :) he’s also coming up fast on the humor delivery side but still have to go some to catch you up lol, atvb Chris2

  17. USD/CHF-0.8940-30….definitely SNB is not on the bid side….still…
