Something needs to be done with natural gas

The US and global recovery is on the fritz with oil above $100/barrel yet natural gas touched a 10-year low today with no reasonable scope for a near-term improvement.

In the last 11 years, oil is up 300% and gas down 56%.

If I were a US politician, I don’t think any amount of technological investment in making nat gas a viable transpiration fuel would be money wasted. I’m not sure about the best way to make money on this trade but this is something that is so sensible that it seems inevitable.

  1. I’m going to turn the heat up in my house and leave all the windows open because i use natural gas and i can

  2. Hi Adam,
Your post is logical and NG can be an effective alternative fuel. As long as the US government is in bed with Arab oil, it will unfortunately never happen.

  3. It has to happen.

  4. Well, I don’t know about the US, but at least in eastern Europe you can refit your car to take natural gas. So, you can modify a normal car to become a kind of hybrid that can run on petrol or natural gas just flipping a switch.

You can refuel your natural gas tank (actually canisters) in the many stations available across the country.

Now, talking about trading, the oil/natural gas is at extremes. I think that natural gas can rally in the future, but who know…

  5. All I know is now is a good time to buy NG. You may be holding for a while, but rest assured, it will come back up. Eventually demand will kick in, in the years to come.

  6. dont think so ryan, there is a massive supply glut of natural gas

  7. Thanks for posting Mungo
