Following on from yesterday’s post UK PM Cameron has got the British “tax havens” ( a title they all deny of course ) to sign up to the OECD-led intiative and will now endeavour to get the G8 on board over the next couple of days.

As this BBC article highlights it’s a fine line for the UK government between being efficient in tax collection ( particularly in these current times of austerity) whilst also remaining an attractive investment proposition for overseas business.

And in any case just how much will these havens actually reveal anyhow. It’s all a bit of peacock-suiting essentially.
