Well, that was a lively start to my shift !
Strange that the Chinese bank news took so long to kick in but the rumour mill did the main talking it appears. No smoke without fire although it’s also fair to say that at least they seem to be addressing rather than sweeping it under the carpet.
As with many aspects of China news though, the truth can often be far removed from the headlines.
The pick of the releases in this session today are the BOE minutes and mortgage approvals at 08.30 GMT.
I have a feeling that we’re in for a lively time quite apart from that though
