DEEWR (Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations) has now split into two separate government departments (boosting employment figures, I suppose): the Department of Education and the Department of Employment.

The Conference Board reported earlier on Australia’s August Leading Economic indicator – came in at -0.2%, with prior revsied from +0.3% to +0.2%
_ little response from the AUD from either data points – the focus today is on the CPI (headline and trimmed mean)
