A survey of 1,000 Japanese retail investors by Goldman Sachs Asset Management to be released later this month says:

  • 56% of respondents said they expected deflation to end soon and prices to begin rising moderately
  • 21% cited the risk of too much inflation
  • 69% said they expected positive growth a year later (this compares with last year’s survey where 73% of investors said they expected negative or zero growth)
