The IMF sees Italy growing 0.6% this year and 1.1% in 2015, according to ANSA. Those estimates are slightly higher than the consensus.

This will be the first year of growth after a 1.9% contraction last year and a 2.4% decline in 2011.

The economy is about 15% below its 2008 peak while the FTSE MIB index is about 52% below its 2007 peak.

On global growth, the IMF sees 3.6% growth this year and 3.9% next year.
