French President Francois Hollande has been out in the French press warning that voting for anti-euro parties in the upcoming EU elections risks unravelling the EU.

In France’s Le Monde he said

“As a result of the economic crisis, certain forces in France and other countries are trying to unravel (the EU) by betting on disappointment and despondency and digging up fears, the end of the euro would mean implacable austerity, the end of financial solidarity and a currency abandoned to the whim of speculators.”

It sounds more like he’s worried about his own arse let alone Europe. He hasn’t exactly set France alight with fixing the economy and is about as popular as an English roast dinner.
