The Federal Reserve announced its tentative schedule for meetings in 2015 today. There was all kinds of talk about more frequent meetings and a press conference after every meeting but in the end, the Fed opted for the status quo with 8 meetings and a press conference every quarter.

Janet Yellen isn’t particularly comfortable in the spotlight or fielding questions so I suspect she pushed to keep communication at the currently levels.

Here’s the schedule:

January 27-28 (Tuesday-Wednesday)

March 17-18 (Tuesday-Wednesday)

April 28-29 (Tuesday-Wednesday)

June 16-17 (Tuesday-Wednesday)

July 28-29 (Tuesday-Wednesday)

September 16-17 (Wednesday-Thursday)

October 27-28 (Tuesday-Wednesday)

December 15-16 (Tuesday-Wednesday)

January 26-27, 2016 (Tuesday-Wednesday)
