Asia and Europe haven’t done much to set the table for US traders and the calendar doesn’t add much intrigue.

The lone releases are at 1345 GMT (9:45 am ET) when the Markit services PMI and pending home sales at 1400 GMT. Neither is likely to be a big market mover.

More likely is that we get moves on positioning ahead of the FOMC, GDP and NFP. Ryan makes some great points about positioning into the Fed. You get the sense that lots of traders are looking for a trade in USD longs and maybe the timing isn’t right yet.

I’ll be looking for a sense of sentiment from the news and analysis in the days ahead.
