German spokeswoman Christiane Wirtz says that Germany sees no need for extra measures to boost growth. She’s responding to calls from French president Francois Hollande who said that the Germans should be doing more in driving up European growth.

Wirtz responded by saying;

“Germany is already the most important growth motor of the eurozone, and in response to these very general comments from Paris, we don’t see any need to make changes to our economic policy”

Just for today I’ll refrain from adding comments like “Looks Like you’ve got to pull your own finger out Mr Hollande” as I don’t want to be seen as bashing France too much
