Fitch Ratings will update their ratings for Austria, Ireland and Slovakia on Friday.

Ireland is the front runner for an upgrade. Fitch has Ireland at ‘BBB+’ with a ‘stable’ outlook

  • Fitch changed the outlook on Ireland from negative to stable back in November 2012, and given government fiscal consolidation efforts, improved capital markets access and asset sales they are looking good for a bump up from Fitch.
  • S&P have them Ireland A- with a ‘positive’ outlook
