As talks ramp up on new sanctions on Russia, one plan is to ban the purchase of Russian government bonds by Europeans, according to sources on Reuters. High technology for gas excavation is also under consideration but the main focus of any new measures would be financially based.
I can’t envisage many people buying Russian bonds at the moment anyway given what’s going on but there will be some who would see an opportunity.
