StatsCan says that employment was up 0.5% from 12 months ago, mostly in part time work. The total numbers of hours worked is virtually unchanged.

Still we have big flips between full and part time workers and the 0.5% gain from last year is probably the better indicator of trend.

Employment was down in wholesale and retail (-27k), transport and warehousing (-15k) while construction gained (24k), Science and tech (21k), public admin (21k) and shows the biggest yearly gain of +5.1%.
