UK newspaper reporting that the UK’s leading union official, Frances O’Grady, General Secretary of the TUC, has spoken to BOE Governor Mark Carney over the need to consider real wages when addressing interest rate policy.

The paper said the comments were made in a private meeting and the BOE has made no comment.

Carney is set to address the TUC Conference on Sept 9 so yet another date for your diary to try and glean more clues on UK interest rate hikes, and we know already that wage growth is a major concern
