Australian vehicle sales fell 1.8% in August after a 1.5% decline in July (downwardly revised from 1.3%).
Compared to August of last year, vehicle sales were down 3.5%. That’s much worse than the 0.6% y/y decline in July.
Sales have been slowly trending lower for some time.
