BOS’s chief economist with further comments on the Spanish economy. He could well be right with the fact that Spanish firms can afford to pay higher wages, doesn’t mean they’re going to though, especially with unemployment still horrendously high.
The good thing about these comments on the economy is that they’re usually spot on, particularly when coming from econ minister Luis de Guindos. It would be fair to say that we could see the green shoots of recovery, that we saw a few months ago, continue.
