ECB ramped up asset purchases last week

The ECB bought 14.018B euros in its asset purchase program

The ECB bought more than 14 billion euros last week in the PSPP program. That's the most in months.

It comes after a meagre 4.35B euros were purchased last week. Before that, the ECB had consistently been in the 10-13B range.

Between the PSPP and purchases of ABS, Covered bonds and corporate bonds, the ECB aims to purchase 60B euros per month.
