Trump has no idea what's going on with the stock market

Donald Trump just tweeted about the stock market.

That's not true at all. There were many years when stocks rose on bad news because it meant stimulus from the Fed.

Here's what happened: Trump asked his yes-men about why the stock market was down. They told him it was because he was so great, and the economy was so great that people were worried about inflation or rates. What someone should have done is warned him about the risk of derivatives on volatility so he could do something about it. But that's a tough one to explain and understand.

Anyway, I think what's most important here is that Trump measures himself based on the stock market returns, so that's a pretty good reason to be long. He'll cut taxes to zero before he lets the S&P 500 fall 25% (or the Dow, which he prefers).
