GfK released their Q4 2017 consumer climate report for Europe

The report shows that the consumer climate index measure touched 21.1, which is the highest reading value in ten years. In Q3, that reading was 20.9 - which shows that consumer confidence in the Eurozone has increased slightly towards the end of last year.

From the report, GfK says that it expects private household consumer spending to rise between 1.5% to 2.0% in 2018.

If so, then private consumption will continue to be one less headache that the ECB and Eurozone authorities have to worry about.
