CNN says North Korea doesn't want to talk

"Before we can engage in diplomacy with the Trump administration, we want to send a clear message that the DPRK has a reliable defensive and offensive capability to counter any aggression from the United States," an official told CNN.

Does anyone think that no one, through any channels, from the US and North Korea isn't speaking? Last month, Rex Tillerson said the US has direct channels of communication to North Korea.

"We have lines of communication to Pyongyang. We're not in a dark situation, a blackout," Tillerson told reporters during a visit to China. "We have a couple ... three channels open to Pyongyang. We can talk to them, we do talk to them."
