And they're also moving in the opposite direction

Today the Atlanta Fed forecast third quarter GDP at 3.7% in its tracking estimate. The New York Fed, meanwhile, sees Q3 at just 1.98%. That's up from 1.92% a week ago but is vastly different from the other main tracking measure.

"Positive news from the ISM manufacturing report and from labor market data was only partly offset by negative news from consumption and construction data," the New York Fed said.
