Euro climbs to the best levels of the day
Catalan leader Puigdemont did not declare independence. Instead, he called for dialogue but said he accepted his mandate for creating an independence Catalonia.
EUR/USD climbed to 1.1825, up 77 pips on the day. That's a 10 pips climb from beforehand, in another signal about how little the market cares about this seemingly-large change.
He proposed exploring international mediation.
