Trump said he spoke with Putin about arranging a potential meeting aimed at discussing the arms race.
Last week the Trump administration accused Russia of hacking into America's energy grid. The also approved 1st sanctions on Russian entities and individuals for alleged meddling in the 2016 election.
The administration also demanded that Russia address the nerve toxin attack in England.
