Says that South Korea's finance minister Kim Dong-yeon is out with some comments about the KRW. Further comments say that "South Korea is ready to take steps on the Korean won if needed".

Despite efforts from authorities to verbally intervene, the KRW is 0.12% higher against the USD so far in 2018 - a rather mild comparison to the gains it had in 2017 though, where it gained 12.8% against the greenback to top the Asian bloc.
